Equipment finance companies currently face an unprecedented set of challenges, among them, capital and funding constraints, borrower credit issues, and shifts in the competitive environment. The State of the Industry presentation includes an examination of the industry based upon related industry analysis, ELFA’s annual Survey of Equipment Finance Activity (SEFA), and interviews with a cross section of industry leaders. This session reviews recent industry performance, highlights issues that constituents must address and outlines possible approaches for 2009 and beyond.
